Planter's Report #72
Posted: Dec 14 2008 10:03 pm EST

Greetings in the powerful name of Jesus.

.....five, four, three, two, one- ignition - blast-off! Today Carol and I leave for Tunisia(3:04pm-Providence- Delta), the Lord continuing to be our helper. We have planned to be with the Lanes, Matt, and Joy and the boys, in Tunis where Matt is stationed as the Naval Attache. We plan to enjoy Thanksgiving there and be back 2 Dec., D.V.(Old timey, abbreviation for Latin, The Lord Willing.). Our daughter, Becki, a security specialist with Delta, has been most helpful in getting us tickets. We are being blessed and we hope to be a blessing.

Sarah and Chris had their fifth (no liquor jokes, please) on 11/6- Joshua, 9-4, 21.5 long, healthy. How we thank the Lord.

Upon our return, I must prepare to defend my thesis(doctrinal statement) for the final time before the committee which will determne if I am ordained in the Free Church. There is some writing yet to be done

so things will squeeze in there at the end of the year.

The ministry at Chris and Carla's on Pierce St continues into the Fall. Kids come by for some help with homework, some Bible stories, some crafts and, of course, a little snack.

Challenges continue as we determine to remain faithful to our Lord and His plan for us. He is a wonderful Lord and it is a privilege to serve Him. We keep on seeking those whom the Lord wants us to disciple.

I hope to be able to invite you all to an evening report with pictures of our trip, and, of course, a little snack and maybe even some singing(now, wouldn't that be nice).

We desire your prayer support as we go and return.

May the God of the nations be praised and honored. May He enhance His reputation among us.

Yours, because His,

Russ and Carol
